The objective of the assembly of Christianity churches includes students who study in Catholic university of Rwanda which held 10th.November.2019 was focused on helping each other without considering on their different faith only for the love of God.
The event was prepared by the university council in partnership with the assembly of students who pray in several churches in CUR in terms of praying together so that the Lord can hear them despite of their different faith and also it helps also them have common understanding on each church’s faith.
The founder of Mission of Glorious Cross of Saint Francis of Assize Mrs. Jean Baptiste Sengayire has given opportunity to tell the students how they can be together as all of them have the same role model Jesus Christ who has given different reason of being one.
Said: "As you know Jesus was on the cross with other two robbers, but we recognize that of Jesus because is the origin of our salvation through his love, he asks us to be ambassadors of what we believe."
The president of Students in UCR Sindayigaya Samuel argues that the assembly has a lot of incomes the way of wellbeings of the students because it develops social and intellectual skills and also he added that in the university every religion member has the right of praying in the campus each time they want so as they can have time to pray without problem.
The rector of Catholic University of Rwanda Bishop Jean Marie Vianey Gahizi insists on the respect of different religions so that every student may respect other’s faith without harassing each other that may be the true symbol of real Christianity.
Said: "Here in our campus we give every student the right of praying where he want because that includes the principle of human right."
Actually, The Catholic University of Rwanda started in 2009, at beginning of every academic year they prepare the assembly of churches in terms of praying together of the year and also to welcome newcomers by introducing to them different religion in the campus in way of having the information of where they can pray.
