While address address to the students of Catholic University of RWANDA during the celemony of closing the induction week at this university, Mayor of Gisagara District Mr. Rutaburingoga Jerome, has asked them to be kind to the society around the university and to build the country in good by using their force and knowledge instead of being useless by doing wrong things.
Catholic University of RWANDA in partnership with GISAGARA District has closed the induction week this Saturday 2nd November 2019 at SAVE Campus located in GISAGARA District. That celemony start at 9 am up to 9 pm where we follow the interesting program as planned before.

Dean of students invites the former guild presidents of CURSU to share their experience faced when they were students and after finishing their study. The first guild president Mr. MUHIRE Alexis said that “I was student of CUR from 2011 up to 2014, in this period, we worked hard in order to gain what we have now. So dear students, you have to do the great job of studying as it is what brings you here so that you will have better life, good job and some of you can become leaders because you have to prepare what you will be now. Try to use your time as much as possible and be confident, respect yourself and others; work in team because one person cannot achieve the goals like many persons. ”

After sharing these experiences, the ceremony continued in playing finals games interfaculty where we assist FST VS FCOM in volleyball and PHHN VS FCOM in basketball. The winning team in volleyball is FST and in basketball is PHHN, and they receive the cup followed with an envelope.

The ceremony was continuing in evening where we had visitors of Honours including Moyor of Gisagara district; RDF commander of Gisagara and Huye District; Executive Secretary of Save Sector and RNP commander in of Save Sector for helping in Igitaramo njya and mva rugamba where students of level 2 presents what they achieved in their imihigo signed when come in level 1; and the new comer students sign Imihigo that they planned to be achieved when they will finish level 1.

Mayor of Gisagara District Mr. Rutaburingoga Jerome address to the students that they have to be kind to the society around the university and to build the country in good by using their force and knowledge instead of being useless by doing such wrong thing like terrorism while they spend money and time in studying and also he focused on Rwanda values.

The Rector of CUR Mgr. GAHIZI Jean Marie Vianney gives remarks to the audience and he said that “you have to be SMART in everything you do by thinking and by doing in order to strengthen our moto “Audi et Aude”. He also points on the values, missions, and vision of Catholic University of Rwanda where he said that in correspondence with Gisagara District, as a community of CUR, we are going to build a complete and equipped house for even one chosen people in Gisagara.

The ceremony was closed with sharing Inzoga y’ imihigo and taking a rememberness picture of the authorities with student representatives of level 1 and 2.
