- This module, Philosophy, History, and Sociology of Education, is designed to provide students with a foundational understanding of the philosophical, historical, and sociological underpinnings of educational theory, and how these relate to the development of the teaching profession. It aims to enhance students’ awareness of the possibilities and limitations inherent in various philosophical traditions, paradigms, and conceptual frameworks when addressing educational issues and challenges. Furthermore, the module fosters the ability to critically analyze educational theories and related practices within diverse educational contexts.

Philosophy, History and Sociology of Education
Philosophy, history, and sociology of education are three distinct but interconnected fields that provide foundational perspectives on the study of education. Philosophy explores the aims and nature of education, history examines its development over time, and sociology analyzes its social contexts and effects. Together, they offer a comprehensive understanding of education as a social institution and a human endeavor.

Human Developmental Psychology
This module describes
the various periods through which human being develops such as the prenatal, infancy, childhood, adolescent and adulthood
periods. For each period of life, different aspects such as physical,
cognitive, psychosocial and moral will be discussed.
